George and Nancy Streblow, 1985.

In 1980…

There was no fresh fish in Winston-Salem. So George Streblow drove to the coast to get it. Growing up fishing and shrimping, he knew how to judge the quality of fresh seafood, and quickly learned how to butcher and sell fish. He began selling to the best restaurants in the area, and the restaurant clientele wanted to know where all this great seafood was coming from. So in 1984, George opened a retail shop, Sea Products, specializing in only the freshest seafood and a now-famous menu of prepared foods developed by his wife Nancy. In 2001 Pedro Martinez joined the team and almost four decades later, Sea Products is still Winston’s Prime Seafood Source.
